New York, July 31 (alphajetsusa.com) – The automaker controlled by Fiat SpA (F), Chrysler Group LLC has posted net income of $436 million for the second quarter.
The sales of the Auburn Hills, Michigan-based company increased 23 percent to $16.8 billion. The sales for the passenger cars in US increased 42 percent.
The company has confirmed its forecast that net income will rise to around $1.5 billion this year. The earnings of the company before interest, taxes and one-time items climbed 82 percent to 957.8 million euros.
The US market share of the company rose 1.4 percentage points from a year earlier to 11.5 percent
The Italian automaker is planning to increase passenger car sales with new Dodge Dart compact.
At Milan, the shares of Fiat traded down 6 cents to 4.13 euros as of 12:28 pm today. This year, the shares of the company have climbed 16 percent.
